- Palembang is the 17 tourism destination in Indonesia. Governments both municipality and provincial are promoting river tourism to both domestic and foreign tourism. However they still get some barriers in which one of them is the image of unsecurity as a tourism destination. This problem can be overcome through social participation by the residents of the city, private sector can develop by itself. It will give good impact to the people in terms of economic activity development.
