  • Chitosan was isolated from crab shell as chitosan-α and squid pens as chitosan-β. The characterization by FTIR show the functional groups of chitosan at wavenumbers 1600 cm-1 for NH2 and 3400 cm-1 for –OH. The deasetilation degree of chitosan were 76,6% from crab shell and 70,42% for chitosan from squid pens, respectively
