- Growth of cement demand over 10% per year at Sumbagsel in the second quarter 2013 has had the cement manufacturer to do immediate short term action such as repair the existing equipment. Implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance has been done, but the facts were not satisfactory. This study measured Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to determine how much capacity of cement plant to support its demand. Furthermore the Six Big Losses calculation has been analyzed and the causes of damage has been evaluated to observe the problems that occurred and to take corrective action on the issue. The expected results are OEE will increase to nearly 80%, and the growth of clinker production will be at least 60 thousand – 85 thousand tons per year.
