- There are many poultry farmers in Palembang currently. Mainly, they collect and sell quail eggs and only few farmers sell quail meat. They have problem on how to expose its manure, since its smell and might bother their environment. Since this poultry eats similar kind od food to chicken, thus it may content similar nutrients to chicken manure. This experiment was to find out how much quail manure cotains base and micro nutrients. Quailmanure was watered at about field capacity and mixed thoroghly every two days, and then incubated for two months where there was no smell any longer. Results show that N, P, Ca, K, Na contents are high and Mg is medium. Zn and Mn as micronutrients are high and there is no Co. It may conclude that this manure can be as bases and micronutrients source and may be suitable forlow base status of tropical soils. It is suggested to do research on how it affects plant growth and on low pH soils.
