- The research about tide and tidal current in estuary of the river Musi had been done on February 2007. The aim of the research was to know about characteristics of tidal and current patterns in estuary of the river Musi. The results showed that the type of tide is a diurnal tide. Based on the results of data analysis showed that offshore flow during ebb tide and inland flow during flood tide. The current at the study are a is dominated by tidal currents with an average magnitude of the tidal currents are 19.3 cm/s, while the average residual current of 10.1 cm/s
