- Hospital is one of place that to continue dangerous of fire, to decrease and prevent loss of material and sacrifice, necessary a fire emergency response and preparedness. The objective of this research to get information about accomplishment of fire emergency response and preparedness in Dr. Ernaldi Bahar Hospital Palembang. This research is descriptive study by qualitative approximation. Method of research by depth interview, focus group discussion, ang observation. Source of information in this research totally seven people and two key informant. Based of result of the research, fire emergency response and preparedness in Dr. Ernaldi Bahar Hospital still need to be improved. There is no fire emergency response team, fire safety facilities that available just portable fire extinguisher, and number of that fire extinguisher portable is not comply to the regulation, frequency of training and simulation is often, and there is no evacuation procedure available. Suggestion of this research to make fire emergency response team sooner. Give a espionage about fire safety procedure for new employee and all visitors in Hospital. For fire extinguisher that available, especially portable fire extinguisher need to be repaired sooner in construction in order to comply to the regulation. Fire safety training and simulation need to more often, especially for new employee.
