Daftar Isi:
- The effect of heat stress on peroxidase activity and protein content in anthers culture of Hevea brasiliensis was tested. Anthers were isolated at different temperatures, including 25 °C (control), 30°C, 33°C, and 36°C. A heat stress of isolated anthers at 33°C for 4 days was best for embryogenic callus induction and embryoid development. Peroxidase activity and protein content could be used for biochemistry indicator of anther embryogenesis. The embryogenic callus tended compact, nodular, and yellowish. Globular and heart shape stage of embryoid emerged from peripheral callus.
