- Laboratory research was conducted to investigate life cycle of Elaeidobius kamerunicus Faust. Reared on oilpalm flowers. A couple of beetle was provided with fresh flowers every day until they died. The life cycle from egg to adult lied their first took 15.5 days. Egg stadium was 3 days, shorter than larval (7.2 days) and pupal (4.3 days) stadia. Mean longevity of the female and male beetle was 5.9 and 7.1 days, respectively. Female completed oviposition within the first day of the exposure to the flowers and usually died within 9 days. Sex ratio was predominated by female (53.6 %). Eggs were laid in average 7.2 eggs/female.
