- The aim of the research is to study influence of coal rank on CO2-adsorption capacity. Two type of coals were examined in this research from South Sumatera and East Kalimantan with particle sizes were 0.15 mm. The measurement of CO2-adsorption capacity used volumetric method and were conducted at pressure between 10 up to 60 bar and 40oC of system temperature. CO2-adsorption capacity increased with increasing coal rank. The decreasing relative CO2-adsorption capacity as well as the increasing adsorption rate with increasing particles size. The increasing relative CO2-adsorption capacity as well as the increasing carbon contents and the decreasing moisture contents.
