- This article attempt to review developed theoretical model on candidate and voter relations. Based on critical studies towards these models, this article developing another framework to understanding candidate and voter relations in the village general elections. Parts of this framework will be using to analyze the village of general election in Kembangsri village. In the context of Kembangsri’s village general elections, candidate and voter relation was influenced by candidate political image, retrospective evaluation process, and information and communication media. These finding approved that the alternative framework is relevant to understanding candidate and voters relations in village general election. But, the alternative framework must be investigation once more with a big sample.
