Indonesia is a country which has the most mangroves, both in terms of area and number of species. Many activities have affected the degradation of mangrove ecosystem. The Indonesian Ministry of Forestry and Japan International Agency has been implementing a five-year project for restoration of ecosystem in five conservation areas including Sembilang National Park.
