- The research aimed to test the effectivity of organic fertilizer for growth and productivity of some plants such as lettuce, spinach and water spinach to ultisol. The research has been conducted at Greenhouse of Agricultural Faculty, Sriwijaya University. Soil and plant samples were analyzed at Chemistry, Biology and Soil Fertility Laboratory Department of Soil Science, Agricultural Faculty, University of Sriwijaya Indralaya. The research applied Complete Random Design Method (Metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap/RAl) with 3 kinds of plants and 8 treatments and 3 repetitions. The result of the research showed that by giving 1600 kg of ha-1 organic fertilizer strongly influenced lettuce and spinach, while for the water spinach treatment with 2000 kg of ha-1 organic fertilizer showed the best effect.
