- The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of the changes in the system of procurement of goods/services and competence on the performance of the employees at the Division of Procurement of Goods/Services in the Legislative Assembly Secretariat of South Sumatra. The scope of variables in this study covers the changes in the system of procurement of goods/services, competence, and the employees performance in the Division of Procurement of Goods/Services which is as the research place. This study uses quantitative data derived from primary sources collected by means of questionnaires. The subjects of this study are employees who work in that place. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling in which all of the employees become samples of this study. The method of data analysis used is instrument testing which is conducted through validity and reliability testing. While the technique of data analysis used is the descriptive analysis method, testing of classical assumptions, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study indicate that simultaneously, the variables of changes in the system of procurement of goods/ services and competence significantly influence the variable of the performance of the employees. However, partially, only the variable of competence that significantly influences of their performance. Therefore, it is expected that through the efforts of competence improvement can improve the employee’s performance in the Division of Procurement of Goods/Services.
