- The research had done show the duku farming concerned by farmer in Jambu Ilir village and Bungin Tinggi village are not their main business. Its relations is right with the character of duku plant that seasonal of fruits and it is not certain crop every year. Duku plant is not planted in monoculture but planted in polyculture (mixing) with other plant, other fruit plants that planted much among duku plant are durian and banana. Generally duku farmer is rice cultivator for main business. From some the farm can be seen that farmer had done horizontal diversification business that its main aim is to increase the income of farmer family. Duku farm gives the biggest contribution to the total of income farm family is in Bungin Tinggi village 48,11% and Jambu Ilir village 38,61% if it is compared by the income of contibution other farm and non farm. The agribusiness of duku plant is very potential to be grown, reminding the demand of society or consumen to duku fruit at the future is certain increase. Based on SWOT analysis three alternative strategies of duku agribusiness grow could be taken namely (1) for the short term was by arranging institute of duku farmer, (2) for the middle term by arranging marketing distribution system and (3) for the long term was by covering the optimalization of duku productivity, the usage of field and handling of post crop.
