  • Study has been conducted to explore students' ability to construct multiple representations and examine their impact to improve students understanding of mechanics concepts and spatial intelligence. This study uses a mixed-method design, and instruments of data collection based on conceptual test. Data were analysis based on students’ pretest and posttest, document analysis, and observation. Students’ ability to construct multiple representation indicates that competence of representation have not been consistent from one format representations to the others. However students' competencies of multiple representations have improved and shifted to expert’s representation. Analysis based on Cohen’s d-effect size and Hake’s N-gain in experimental group were significantly higher than control group.
