  • The objective of this research was to study N-ammonia concentration, dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility of ammoniated palm frond by in vitro technique. This research was conducted at the laboratory of Nutrition and Animal Feeding Faculty of Agriculture Sriwijaya University . This research compared 2 treatments that were: P0 (palm frond + 15% poultry manure) and P1 (ammoniated palm frond + 15% poultry manure) and every treatment consisted of 4 replication. The parameters measured were: N-ammonia concentration, dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility. The data of the research was analyzed by t-test. The result showed that the ammoniation treatment resulted in 4.35 mN N-ammonia concentration in the in vitro, 73.59% dry matter digestibility and 67.54% organic matter digestibility. It is concluded that ammoniated frond + 15% poultry manure increased N-ammonia concentration, dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility of palm frond.
