Daftar Isi:
  • The aim of this research is to learn the cracking process of jatropha curchas oil without catalyst and with catalyst. Zeolit catalyst which has 100 mesh in size, with 20 g dan 25 g in variation is added in each 200 ml jatropha curchas oil. The cracking process is maintained at 300 oC and 350 oC for 3 and 4 hours. The results of cracking process is distilled in 350 oC. The testing of jatropha crchas oil and oil from distillation using GC-MS Instrument. The result of jatropha curchas oil which has been used GC-MS at 23,358 minute of retention time, with 23,36% kromotogram area isC18H13ClO and 298 for molecular weight is 19,12-Octadecadiennoyl chloride, C18H34O with 266 for molecular weight is 9-Octadecanal. The result of cracking process of jatropha curchas without catalyst along 3 hours at 350 oC from 23,588 minute of relation time with 12,71% of kromatogram wide area is C16H32O2 with 256 molecular weight. The cracking process of jatropha curchas oil with 25 g zeolit catalyst for 3 hours at 300 oC in 6,45 minutes for retention time and 6,49 for the biggest chromatogram area, with C9H10 for fusion of chemical compounds and 128 molecular weight.
