- This research was aim at increasing the qualification of science teacher in guiding the students in teaching practice through their understanding and applying the evaluation instruments of teachers’ ability (EITA) at SD Negeri 119 Palembang. The teachers and six students were taken as research collaborative. The classroom action research was used and it followed the Kasbolah’s Procedures: planning, acting, observing, and monitoring and reflecting. The research results showed that the first cycle in applying EITA I, there 12 items of differences from 16 indicators between researcher and teachers, and in EITA II, it was found out 8 from 28 indicators were different. In the second cycle, the EITA I, the were only two items of differences. From 28 indicators, there were 25 indicators rated at the same items by the teacher and researcher. It meant the teachers had the same interpretation as researcher. It can be concluded that the teachers’ understanding and applying the EITA I and II had increased
