- This study aims to develop a model of adaptive interactive multimedia at the lecture introductory solid-state physics to enhance critical thinking skills of prospective student teachers. Research development using a mixed method research design to combine qualitative and quantitative research procedures in a study to solve the problem. The research was carried out with 1) the preliminary study phase, 2) design development phase, 3) the implementation phase of the 37 students LPTK model in South Sumatra as experimental class and 36 students as a control class. Instrument in the form of multiple choice tests to measure critical thinking skills of prospective student teachers. T test used to determine the increase in students critical thinking skills of prospective teachers. The results of experiments N-gain the highest grade in the indicator report based on observations of 0.77 (high category) and the lowest on the indicator to answer questions about the facts 0.55 (medium category), the class of N-gain control of the highest on indicators that can be acceptable to apply the principle of 0 , 51 (medium category) and lowest on the indicator to answer questions about the facts 0.27 (low category). Concluded that the adaptive learning model of interactive multimedia introduction to solid-state physics (IMM-ISSP) was significantly more effective in improving critical thinking skills of prospective student teachers compared with conventional learning models.
