- The objective of this study is to reveal and analyze the performancedevelopment of yarn spinning in Indonesia. The data used in this study is thesecondary data in the period of 1990-2010. The Method used in analyzing thedata is descriptive qualitative method by presenting various tables and charts oflabor value added, efficiency, and productivity. The value added of this industryin this period increase continously. In the periods of 1990-1997 this industry hadrealatively the lowest value added due to the relatively few industries and labors.After 1998 monetary crisis, Indonesia experienced tough economic times, nationalunemployment rate jumped, and the government cariied out industrial relationcoaching program and labor protection to open employment opportunities andreduced the number of unemployment in that crisis.
