- This study aimed to find out: (1) whether or not there was a significant differencein students’ descriptive paragraph writing achievement before and after they weretaught by using Natural Approach, and (2) whether or not there was a significantdifference in students’ descriptive paragraph writing achievement between thestudents who were taught by using Natural Approach and those who were not.The sample of this study was 50 students of seventh grade students of SMP SantoYosef Belinyu which were chosen by using total population sampling techniquefrom 50 total populations. This study applied the Quasi-experimental design thatdivided students into two groups (experimental and control). In collecting thedata, each group was given the writing test twice as a pre-test and a post-test. Inthis study, two raters did the scoring of the students’ pretest and posttest based onthe writing rubric provided by the writer. The data were analyzed by using pairedsample and independent sample t-test through SPSS version 22. The result of thisstudy showed: (1) there was a significant difference in students’ descriptiveparagraph writing achievement before and after they were taught by using NaturalApproach (mean difference of post-test and pre-test was 3.660 and thesignificance value was 0.000 (p-value 12.180) and the significance value was 0.000 (p-value
