  • Wisra Yulita (2018): The Effect of Using Draw Label Caption Strategy Toward StudentsAbility In Writing At Grade X StudentsofIslamic Senior High School 1 Padang The purpose of the research is to know whether there was defferent result between students’ writing ability by using Draw Label Caption strategy and without using that strategy at grade X students’ of Islamic Senior High School 1 Padang. This research was an experimental research which was conducted at Islamic Senior High School1 Padang. The population of this research was ten class students (101 students) spreading in three classes. The sample was chosen throughrandom sampling; consist of 65 students distributed into two classes. These two classes were decided to be control class (XIPA3) and experiment class (X.IPA2). The experimental class taught by using Draw Label Caption strategy, while control class was taught without Draw Label Caption. Both of classes got the same material and they are conducted by the same teacher. The data of this research were collected by using writing test. The test was given to both classes after doing the treatment for six meeting to know the effect of Draw Label Caption strategytowards students writing ability in descriptive text. The result of this study showed that the mean score of students’ post-test in experiment class (81. 09) was higher than control class (69. 34). Besides that, t-calculatewas also higher than t-table (18.07>2.000) with the level of significant 5% (0.05).its mean that, based on the data it was found that the students enjoy and interested in learning writing trhrough DLC strategy. Based on the finding above, it can be concluded that there was a significant difference between experimental group, and control group. It also motivates students to actively involve in writing. Based on this evidence, the teacher should consider the implementation of DLC because it can help the students easier to make a good descriptive text.
