- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika perkambangan strategi gastrodiplomasi Pemerintah Korea Selatan melalui Program Global Hansik. Penelitian ini menggunakan motode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dan metode studi kasus yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan dinamika perkembangan dari Program Global Hansik sebagai bagian dari strategi diplomasi Pemerintah Korea Selatan. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa Program Global Hansik telah berdampak perekonomian Korea Selatan yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya jumlah ekspor dan berkembangnya jumlah pasar produk-produk pertanian dan makanan Korea Selatan terutama di Asia Tenggara. Program Global Hansik sebagai bagaian dari soft power Korea Selatan yang memanfaatkan popularitas Hallyu dan kebudayaan tradisional Korea untuk menyebarkannya. Meskipun program gastrodiplomasi merupakan bagian dari strategi diplomasi publik Korea Selatan, namun hal tersebut tidak berdampak besar di Jepang karena sentimen negatif antar kedua negara. Kemudian klaim-klaim budaya Hansik yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Korea Selatan telah memicu konflik antara negara-negara di Asia Timur sehingga memicu terjadinya kimchi war. Kata Kunci : Gastrodiplomasi, Program Global Hansik, Korea Selatan, Hallyu,Hallyu, Asia, Politik, Ekonomi. The aims of this research in to analysis of South Korea's gastrodiplomacy strategy development through Global Hansik Program. This research by using the qualitative descriptive method and case study method used to explain the dynamics of Global Hansik Program development as a part of South Korean Government diplomacy strategy. The results show that, The Global Hansik Program has been influencing to South Korea's economy which is marked increasing of export and developing new market of South Korea's agricultural and foods products, especially in South East Asia. The Global Hansik Program as a South Korean soft power which conducted by using popularity of Hallyu and Korean traditional culture for spreading it. Even though, The Global Hansik Program is a form of South Korea's public diplomacy but it has not impact significantly in Japan because of negative sentiment of both countries. Then, South Korea government claims culture has triggered a conflict and face to 'kimchi war' among East Asian Countries.
