- ABSTRACT Mokoginta Nursia. 613 411 003: Diversity of weed control in crops peppers (Capsicum annuum L) by the application of plastic mulch, mulch eggshell and rice straw mulch. Under the guidance of Moses as a guide Nikma 1 and Henry Pembengo as supervisor II. This weed into plants that grow on the time, place, and human undesirable condition. The purpose of this study aims to determine the diversity of weed control in crops of chili based on the application of plastic mulch, mulch eggshell and rice straw mulch. The experiment was conducted in March to June 2016 In the village Dutohe, District Kabila, Bone Bolango District, Gorontalo province. The method used was a randomized block design (RAK) with four treatments ie without mulch mulch, rice straw mulch, mulch eggshell silver and black plastic mulch which is repeated five replications. Plastic mulch treatment can lower the spread of weed species. The results showed that treatment of mulch can reduce the spread of weeds in crops of chili from 6 types of weeds before planting the Acmella paniculata, Borerria alata, Chromolaena odorata, Puspalum vaginatum, Euphorbia prunifolia, and Cyperus rotundus into 3 types of weeds after the harvest that is Acalypha indica, Borerria alata, and Cyperus rotundus. Treatment types of plastic mulch to give effect to decrease and the percentage of the number of weeds. Keywords: Population weeds, mulch, Chilli Red
