- Abstract The objective of this research is to study in depth on Bapongka within the environmental conservation especially marine ecosystem and coastal area in Bajo ethnic, Bapongka in daily life, and teenagers understanding on Bapongka in Bajo ethnic. Method of this research is descriptive qualitative approach through in depth interview. The results of this research are; Bapongka in Bajo ethnic are some regulation or prohibition which have environmental conservation values. However, the application of Bapongka has been moved caused by technology and development. Application of Bapongka in daily life is still implemented, whether in the time for fishing or not. Conservation education values of Bapongka are needed to be established. Keywords: Bapongka, conservation education values
