- Abstract: Strategic and development plan of Tomini bay coastal and marine by government of Gorontalo province, involve extension program on media electronic, training on fishing ground, and coastal and marine resource conservation campaign. Even though, there was some problem in the field, i.e. use of explosion material and potassium in the fishing activity, logging of mangrove forest, and degradation of coral reef and sea grass ecosystem. Much of this condition is rooted by poor economic and social background of coastal society, lack of knowledge and information resources. The objective of this essay is to study the information strategy about coastal and marine ecosystem conservation, especially consideration of extension approach with income level of coastal community. There is an interaction effect between extension approach and income level on the communitys information about coastal and marine ecosystem conservation.
