Advisor: (1) Prof. Dr. KartinLihawaM.Pd, Advisor (II) Sri RumiyatingingsihLuwitiS.Pd M.A. Textbook as the main instrument in teaching and learning activity must be suipicture to what students' need, students' level of comprehension and relevant to the students' circles.This study was done in SMP Negeri1Telaga with the purpose to describe the students' perception in the using English textbook of 2013 curriculum.This study consists of 64 participants' questionnaire and 8 of participants' interview.Techniques of collecting the data were questionnaire and interview.The data wereanalyzed by using descriptive qualitative.The result of this research shows that students' perception to their English textbook was in the position of high and highest category. It can be proved in the result of analysis in four topics discussion; 1) the content of the textbook 77%. 2) Language used in the textbook 77%. 3)Presentation of the materials 82%.4) Layout of the textbook 84%.The result of this research suggested that textbook of 2013 curriculum can be references in teaching and learning English for both student and teacher.
