It was supervised by Dr. H. Harto Malik, M.Hum and Farid Muhammad, S.Pd., M.A. Psychoanalysis theory and literature have a strong relationship, especially in the movie. psychoanalysis in literary works is useful for analyzing figures such as in a movie, drama, or novel. Psychoanalysis theory discusses more the relationship of personality of a character in a literary work and the basic concept of this theory that human behavior is driven more by unconscious aspects known as the structure of personality consists of three elements namely id, ego, and superego. Therefor, this study explored personality of the main charater named Linda Sinclair in the English Teacher movie. Psychoanalysis is the approach which is used in analyzing this movie. The outcome of this study is to interpretate Portrait of Linda Sinclair in the English Teacher movie. This research will apply with descriptive qualitative method. Then, data collecting in this research based on data card and some notes in the movie that related with portrait of the main character. The result of this study containt 13 datas are found. The data analyzed by using data card to catogrize Id, Ego, and Superego. It is useful to apportion the data according to psychoanalysis theory. the researcher hope that this can be references for the next researcher that has similar topic with this research. Key word : Psychoanalysis approach, Portrait, Id, Ego, Superego.
