- ABSTRACT Rifki Abd Razak (2013) 321 409 199 : Contrastive Analysis of Derivational prefixes between Atinggola and English The final procect is about contrastive analysis of derivational prefixes between Atinggola and English language. Contrastive analysis was done in this study to find out the differences and simillarities of derivational prefixs in Atinggola and English. The method that is used in this research is the Qualitative Descriptive. It is used to describe the differences and similarities between prefix in Atinggola and English language. In analyzing the data, the researcher use contrastive analysis technique. The first is describing the two languages namely Atinggola and English derivational prefixes. The second is selecting item that be contrasted, they are derivational prefixes in English and Atinggola. The third is contrasting Atinggola and English derivational prefixes. And the last is predicting the causes of difficulty in learning base on the result of contrasting The technique of collecting the data is done by reading some books which are relevant to the object of research. The data collected from some informants by using tape recorder. Key words: Contrastive Analysis, Derivational prefixes of Atinggola and English languages.
