- ABSTRACT Ni Wayan Surowati (2012): Politeness In Balinese Language Based On Caste At Trirukun Village Wonosari District Boalemo Regency. This study aims to find out how the politeness expression phenomenon is used in Balinese language based on Caste at Trirukun village Wonosari district, Boalemo regency. The source of the data is the informant of eight persons of Balinese society in this district. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive method. The data of this research have been collected from the conversation between different Castes. There were four technique have been used to collect the data, they are observation, interview, note taking, recording, and decumentations. Furthermore, the data have been analyzed by using identification, classification and interpretation. The result of this study can be concluded that politeness of Balinese language have been found in different Castes. In this case, there are 25 conversation that include politeness expression in Balinese language. In conclusion, based on every context of conversation, those utterances can be classified into three levels of Balinese language: Utama, Madia and Nista level.
