Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini apakah dengan menerapkan teori Bruner dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menemukan rumus luas persegi panjang pada siswa kelas 3 SDN II Lupoyo kecamatan Telaga Biru Kabupaten Gorontalo? Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menemukan rumus luas persegi panjang pada siswa kelas 3 SDN II Lupoyo Kecamatan Telaga Biru Kabupaten Gorontalo Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Langkah dalam penelitian ini yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan tindakan, tahap pemantauan dan evaluasi, tahap analisis dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I menunjukkan bahwa, dari 19 orang siswa yang dikenakan tindakan, 9 orang atau 68,42% memperoleh nilai yang baik. Prosentase ini meningkat pada siklus II. Dari 19 orang siswa yang dikenakan tindakan, 18 orang siswa atau 94,73 %, hal ini sudah memenuhi indikator kinerja dalam penelitian yaitu minimal 75% siswa yang dikenai tindakan memiliki kemampuan dalam menemukan rumus luas persegi panjang dengan perolehan nilai pada tes evaluasi adalah 70 ke atas. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan teori Bruner dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menemukan rumus luas persegi panjang dikelas 3 SDN II Lupoyo Kecamatan.Telaga Biru Kabupaten Gorontalo Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Siswa dan Penerapan Teori Bruner vii ii ABSTRACT Iyam Akuba Madjid. 2012.
