- The global commitment towar sustainable development, as the world community response to the environment issues, has brought impacts in the changing pattern of tourism development. Tourism as one of world's biggest industries is not only in a special position in the contribution to sustainable development but also brings the challenges as well. Therefore in Indonesia throughout Act Number 10 Year 2009 regarding Tourism,m government stated that tourism is an integral part of national development, which done systematically, planned, integrated, sustainable and responsible, by giving protection to religion value, society culture, preservation and quality of environment also national stakeholder's partnership. Thus, sustainable tourism development strategy should be oriented towards community participation in the process of planning and managing that will lead the improvement of local communities' welfare.
