- AbstractThe aim of this study was to obtain empirical evidence on differences in learning outcomes of students who are taught by learning model Think Talk Write and Snowball Throwing on Quadratic Equations material in class X SMA 5 Tanjungbalai academic year 2014/2015. The population of this research is class X SMA Negeri 5 Tanjungbalai academic year 2014/2015 which consists of two classes, X-2 as the experimental group (Think Talk Write), and a control class group (Throwing Snowball). To obtain the necessary data in this study used a test in the form of a description as much as 5 questions. From the analysis of the data obtained by the average and standard deviation of students who are taught by learning model Think Talk Write. By comparing this price on the table, with df = 77, obtained, it turns out. This means that it is rejected. So it can be concluded that there are significant differences between the results of learning taught by learning model Think Talk Write and taught learning model Snowball Throwing the quadratic equation material class X SMA 5 Tanjungbalai academic year 2014/2015. Keywords: Think Talk write, Snowball Throwing, Quadratic Equations AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bukti empiris tentang perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write dan Snowball Throwing pada materi Persamaan Kuadrat di Kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Kota Tanjungbalai Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Kota Tanjungbalai Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015 yang terdiri dari dua kelas, kelompok eksperimen (Think Talk Write), dan kelompok kelas kontrol (Snowball Throwing). Untuk memperoleh data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini digunakan tes yang berbentuk uraian sebanyak 5 soal. Dari hasil penelitian hipotesis diperoleh harga . Dengan membandingkan harga ini pada tabel, dengan dk = 77, diperoleh , ternyata . Hal ini berarti bahwa ditolak. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write dan diajar dengan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing pada materi persamaan kuadrat kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Kota Tanjungbalai tahun ajaran 2014/2015.
