- Abstract: This classroom action research applying learning models Students Team Achievement Division (STAD) to 21 students in class XI IPA2 MAS Ulumul Qur'an Stabat on the subject matter physics concepts straight motion kinematics of the first semester of school year 2015-2016. The results of the study the average level of activity of teachers in the first cycle was obtained 3.24 with a percentage 64.80% activity level teachers, in Cycle II was obtained 4.40 with a percentage of 88.00% activity level teachers. The average level of activity of students in the first cycle was obtained 3.25 with a percentage of 65.00% level of student activity, in Cycle II was obtained 4.37 with a percentage of 87.37% activity level teachers. The average student learning outcomes in the first cycle was obtained 85.95 with the percentage of students learning completeness 57.14%, the second cycle was obtained 89.05 with the percentage of students learning completeness 85.71%. A total of 89.27% of students responding to the application of STAD cooperative learning on the concept of straight motion kinematics can make it easier to understand the physics lesson, only 73.81% of students responded that the implementation of cooperative learning model is to foster student interest. Keywords: student teams achievement division, kinematics, rectilinear motion Abstrak: Penelitian tindakan kelas ini menerapakan model pembelajaran Students Team Achievement Division (STAD) terhadap 21 orang siswa di kelas XI IPA2 MAS Ulumul Qur’an Stabat pada mata pelajaran fisika materi konsep kinematika gerak lurus semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2015–2016. Hasil penelitian rata-rata tingkat aktivitas guru pada siklus I diperoleh 3,24 dengan persentase tingkat aktivitas guru 64,80%, pada Siklus II diperoleh 4,40 dengan persentase tingkat aktivitas guru 88,00%. Rata-rata tingkat aktivitas siswa pada siklus I diperoleh 3,25 dengan persentase tingkat aktivitas siswa 65,00 %, pada Siklus II diperoleh 4,37 dengan persentase tingkat aktivitas guru 87,37%. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I diperoleh 85.95 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa 57.14 %, pada siklus II diperoleh 89.05 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa 85.71 %. Sebanyak 89,27% siswa menanggapi penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada konsep kinematika gerak lurus dapat memudahkan dalam memahami pelajaran fisika, hanya 73,81% siswa menanggapi kalau penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif ini dapat menumbuhkan minat belajar siswa.
