  • Stunting is a condition where the child's body is shorter than other childrenof his age (KESMAS,2015). Indonesia is a country with the fifth largest stuntingprevalence in the world of under-fives/Baduta (Infants under two years) whoexperience stunting (TNP2K,2017). In 2016 Maluk distric the highest number ofstunting incidence compared to 2 other sub-districts in the mine area is 36.67%while the target set at West Sumbawa Regency is 20%. This study aims to analyzethe factors that influence the incidence of stunting in children aged 12-59 months inMaluk District.This type of research is an analytical survey research with crosssectional approach . The population in this study is a family that has atoddler stunting inMalukDistrict. Thesampleusedis65families.The sampling technique used is proportional random sampling. Typesof data used are primary data with 7 variables including birth weight, parentalheight, parental education level, mother's level of knowledge, number of childrenin family, family income.The result of the research showed that there was no correlation betweenbirth weight, height of father, parent education level , number of children in familywith p-value (> 0,05) and there was correlation between mother's height with p-value 0,007 ( < 0,05) OR 5.1 , maternal knowledge level with p-value 0,003 (<0,05) OR 3,97, family income with value p-value 0.030 (< 0.05) OR 3,5.It is expected that the health professionals will work closely with therelevant parties with the health program managers at puskesmas level, healthcadres, village officials, and families so that the stunting of toddlers can belowered.
