Ruang lingkupnya adalah dari segi isi yaitu unsur leksikal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif  dan metode komparatif. Langkah-langkah yang ditempuh adalah menganalisis struktur teks Gelumpai dan menghubungkannya dengan teks Barzanji yang menjadi latar penciptaannya. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa teks dalam Gelumpai tersebut mengambil inspirasi dari syair Barzanji.Abstract:The purpose of the  research attempts to describe mechanism of “Gelumpai” hypogram application with “Barzanji”. The focus of the study is  on lexicon analysis. This research applies descriptive and comparative method. The analysis is by  examining  textual structure of Gelumpai and by relating them to Barzanji as the creation background.
