- Sixty two patients who suffered from Vertigo were hospitalized at Puri Cinere Hospital in 1999. They consist of 41 women and 21 men, with age ranged from 29 to 80 years old. Twenty two patients were diagnosed to have stroke. The diagnosis was confirmed by CT-Scan examination. The location of the lesions were in the brain stem and in the cerebellum. The age of the vertigo patients who suffered from stroke were above 50 years old. Some risk factors were encountered such as hypertension, hyperglicaemia and hyperlipidaemia.
