- One of problem which faced by corporate for developing client/server application is high cost to provide private network, while the area application is only debt payment for customer, for example system online payment point application (SOPP). Considering a problem above, it alternative method on connectivity system and data communication that can minimize cost. Using HTTP server as gateway between applications can be used as the alternative method because there is not necessary to develop a private network. Of course, we have to design a protocol so that between applications can be communicated. To facilitated user, remote call procedure technique is used in this alternative method. In this final project will designing the application architecture that using HTTP server as application gateway. And then, designing the protocol for data communication that use remote call procedure technique thus applications, client, midware, and server can be communicated. Finally this alternative method will be implemented on prototype of electricity billing payment application as a case study.
