- AbstractWe present a distributed algorithm for rerouting toaccommodate unlimited movement of mobile hosts ina mobile-mobile connection. The algorithm is sourceinitiated~ that is the source base station is responsiblef o r the rerouting. The algorithm ensures thatthe establishment of non-optimal and incorrect pathsis avoided and that no packets in the session are lostas there is always a path between the base stations inchargeof the source and the destination. The designof this distributed algorithm ensures that the processingat the mobile hosts is kept to a minimum. I n addition,the proposed framework for rerouting in mobile-mobilecommunications is independent of the type of reroutingscheme
