  • Pada penelitian ini, telah dilakukan proses adsorpsi ion Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), dan Pb(II) terhadap adsorben biomassa alga Tetraselmis sp, Hibrida alga silika (HAS), dan HAS-magnetit. Identifikasi gugus fungsi biomassa alga Tetraselmis sp, HAS, dan HAS-magnetit dilakukan dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer inframerah (IR) dan analisis morfologi permukaan menggunakan Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Hasil karakterisasi spektrofotometer IR pada adsorben HAS dan HAS-magnetit menunjukkan bahwa sintesis telah berhasil dilakukan ditandai dengan adanya pita serapan pada daerah bilangan gelombang 2931,80 cm-1 dari serapan vibrasi ulur C-H dari (-CH2) alifatik yang berasal dari biomassa alga Tetraselmis sp. Uji adsorpsi pada adsorben dilakukan menggunakan larutan monologam, pasangan ion, dan multilogam. Hasil uji adsorpsi larutan monologam dan multilogam menunjukkan bahwa interaksi Pb-O lebih didominasi oleh interaksi kovalen sedangkan uji desorpsi menunjukkan interaksi ion Zn-O didominasi oleh interaksi ionik. Pada kompetisi adsorpsi pasangan ion, interaksi antara ion logam dan adsorben ditentukan oleh sifat keasaman logam dan gugus fungsional yang teradsorpsi pada adsorben. Kata kunci: adsorpsi, desorpsi, alga Tetraselmis sp, dan HAS-magnetit (In this report, it has been carried out adsorption process of Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), and Pb(II) ions toward adsorbent of Tetraselmis sp algae biomass, silica algae hybrid (HAS), and HAS-magnetite. Identification of the functional groups of Tetraselmis sp algae biomass, HAS, and HAS-magnetite was performed by using a spectrophotometer of infrared (IR) and surface morphology analysis using scanning electron microscope (SEM). Characterization results of spectrophotometer IR on HAS and HAS-magnetite adsorbent show that synthesis has been conducted successfully indicated with the absorption band in the wavenumber region 2931.80 cm-1 from streching vibration of C-H of (-CH2) aliphatic from Tetraselmis sp algae biomass. Adsorption test of these adsorbents was conducted with using monometal, ion pairs, and multimetal solutions. Adsorption test results of monometal and multimetal solution show that interaction Pb-O dominated by covalent interaction while desorption test shows interaction Zn-O dominated by ionic interaction. In the competition of ion pair adsorption, interaction between metal ion and adsorbent are determined by characteristics of acidity metal and functional groups adsorbed on adsorbent.
