  • Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pencelupan telur tetas itik hibrida menggunakan ekstrak daun jambu biji pada konsentrasi yang berbeda terhadap mortalitas embrio, daya tetas, dan saleable itik hibrida serta mengetahui konsentrasi terbaik dalam pencelupan telur tetas itik hibrida menggunakan ekstrak daun jambu biji terhadap mortalitas embrio, daya tetas, dan saleable itik hibrida. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Maret--April 2020, pembuatan ekstrak daun jambu biji dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Produksi dan Reproduksi Ternak, Jurusan Peternakan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Lampung, dan proses penetasan dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Hajimena, Kecamatan Natar, Lampung Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan yaitu tanpa pencelupan ektrak daun jambu biji (P0), pencelupan dengan ektrak daun jambu biji konsentrasi 10% (P1), pencelupan dengan ektrak daun jambu biji konsentrasi 20% (P2), pencelupan dengan ektrak daun jambu biji konsentrasi 30% (P3). Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali dengan setiap satuan percobaan berjumlah 5 butir telur itik hibrida. Peubah yang diamati adalah mortalitas embrio, daya tetas, dan saleable itik hibrida. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif yang telah dilakukan ekstrak daun jambu biji efektif dalam menurunkan mortalitas embrio serta meningkatkan daya tetas, dan saleable itik hibrida. Pemberian ekstrak daun jambu biji konsentrasi 20% menghasilkan mortalitas embrio terendah sebesar 16%, daya tetas tertinggi sebesar 84%, dan pemberian ekstrak daun jambu biji konsentrasi 10%, 20%, dan 30% menghasilkan saleable tertinggi sebesar 100%. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of immersing hybrid duck hatching eggs using guava leaf extract at different concentrations on embryo mortality, hatchability, and saleable hybrid duck and to find out the best concentration in dyeing hybrid hatching eggs using guava leaf extract on embryo mortality, hatchability, and saleable hybrid duck. The study was conducted in March -- April 2020, the production of guava leaf extract was carried out at the Animal Production and Reproduction Laboratory, Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, and the hatching process was carried out in Hajimena Village, Natar District, South Lampung. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments namely without dyeing guava leaf extract (P0), dyeing with guava leaf extract concentration of 10% (P1), dyeing with guava leaf extract concentration of 20% (P2), dyeing with guava leaf extract concentration of 30% (P3). Each treatment was repeated 5 times with each experimental unit amounting to 5 hybrid duck eggs. The variables observed were embryo mortality, hatchability, and saleable hybrid duck. Based on the descriptive analysis that has been carried out, guava leaf extract is effective in reducing embryo mortality as well as increasing hatchability and salable hybrid ducks. Giving guava leaf extract with a concentration of 20% resulted in the lowest embryo mortality of 16%, the highest hatchability of 84%, and administration of guava leaf extract with concentrations of 10%, 20%, and 30% resulted in the highest salable of 100%.
