- ABSTRAK PAO AN TUI ETNIS TIONGHOA DALAM REVOLUSI INDONESIA Oleh ERNITA SARI Revolusi Indonesia merupakan periode yang penuh kompleksitas dalam sejarah Indonesia, dimana pada masa ini terjadi berbagai peristiwa di Indonesia, salah satunya yaitu fenomena aksi kekerasan yang muncul pada masa revolusi sosial, yaitu etnis Tionghoa sering menjadi sasaran dari revolusi sosial, akibat adanya peristiwa tersebut akhirnya etnis Tionghoa sepakat membentuk organisasi Pao An Tui, namun keberadaan organisasi Pao An Tui ini pada akhirnya dianggap lebih berpihak ke Belanda dan sering memusuhi penduduk Pribumi. Penelitian ini memiliki rumusan masalah penelitian yaitu, Mengapa organisasi penjaga keamanan Tionghoa (Pao An Tui) lebih cenderung berpihak terhadap Belanda dari pada Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahuai sebab organisasi Pao An Tui lebih cenderung berpihak terhadap Belanda dari pada Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu, metode penelitian sejarah, adapun tahapan penelitian sejarah yaitu, Heuristik, Kritik, Interpretasi dan Historiografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada masa revolusi etnis Tionghoa sebenarnya tidak ingin berpihak terhadap Indonesia maupun Belanda, namun karena keadaan pada masa revolusi yang penuh ketidaktentraman, menyebabkan etnis Tionghoa memilih berpihak terhadap pihak yang mempuh memberikan jaminan keamanan dan keselamatan jiwa serta harta bagi etnis Tionghoa, pihak yang dianggap mampuh adalah Belanda. Sebab organisasi Pao An Tui berpihak terhadap Belanda yaitu karena, 1). Rasa sakit hati etnis tionghoa kepada masyarakat pribumi, 2). Rasa tidak percaya etnis Tionghoa terhadap pemerintah Republik 3). Organisasi Pao An Tui tidak mendapatkan dukungan dari pemerintah Indonesia, 4). Organisasi Pao An Tui banyak berkembang di daerah kekuasaan Belanda 5). Kepengurusan organisasi Pao An Tui oleh eks anggota kelompok Chung Hua Hui (CHH). Kata Kunci : Etnis Tionghoa, Revolusi Indonesia, Organisasi Pao An Tui. ABSTRACK PAO AN TUI CHINA'S ETHNIC IN THE INDONESIAN REVOLUTION Oleh ERNITA SARI The Indonesian Revolution was a period full of complexity in Indonesian history, where at this time various events occurred in Indonesia, one of them is the phenomenon of violent acts that emerged during the social revolution, that is, ethnic Chinese are often the targets of social revolutions, As a result of this incident, the Chinese ethnic finally agreed to form the Pao An Tui organization, however, the existence of the Pao An Tui organization was ultimately considered to be more pro-Dutch and often hostile to the Indigenous people. This study has a research problem formulation, namely, Why is the Chinese security guard organization (Pao An Tui) more likely to side with the Netherlands than Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to find out why the Pao An Tui organization tends to side with the Dutch more than Indonesia. The research methods used in this research are, historical research methods, as for the stages of historical research, namely, Heuristics, Criticism, Interpretation and Historiography. The results showed that during the revolution, the Chinese ethnics did not really want to side with Indonesia or the Netherland, but because of the conditions during the revolution which was full of unrest, causing ethnic Chinese to choose to side with those who have the power to guarantee the security and safety of life and property for ethnic Chinese, the party that was considered capable was the Netherlands. Because the Pao An Tui organization sided with the Dutch, namely because, 1). Chinese ethnic heartache to the indigenous people, 2). The distrust of the ethnic Chinese towards the Republican government 3). The Pao An Tui organization does not get support from the Indonesian government, 4). The Pao An Tui organization developed a lot in Dutch territory 5). The management of the Pao An Tui organization by former members of the Chung Hua Hui (CHH) group.
