- ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe index card match terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD Negeri 6 Metro. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian eksperimen. Populasi berjumlah 55 siswa dan sampel penelitian menggunakan sampel jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Instrumen pengumpul data berupa tes. yang sebelumnya diuji validitas dan reliabilitas. Berdasarkan analisis uji normalitas posttest kelas eksperimen dan kontrol diperoleh bahwa nilai χ2 untuk kelas eksperimen dan kontrol sebesar 4,37. Jadi dapat disimpulkan kedua data dinyatakan berdistribusi normal. Hasil perhitungan uji homogenitas posttest diperoleh χ2hitung = 4,37 < χ2tabel = 12,59. Hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis menggunakan rumus t-test separated varians diperoleh nilai thitung = 4,542 > ttabel = 2,000, maka H1 diterima berarti ada pengaruh strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe index card match terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD N 6 Metro Utara. Kata kunci: hasil belajar, index card match, dan IPS ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of active learning strategies type index card match on social studies learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 6 Metro. This type of research is experimental research. The population numbered 55 students and the study sample used saturated samples. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation study. The data collection instrument was a test. previously tested for validity and reliability. Based on the analysis of the posttest normality test for the experimental and control classes, it was found that the χ2 value for the experimental and control classes was 4.37. So it can be concluded that the two data are stated to be normally distributed. The results of the calculation of the posttest homogeneity test obtained χ2count = 4.37 <χ2 table = 12.59. The results of the calculation of the hypothesis test using the t-test separated variance formula obtained the value of tcount = 4.542 > t table = 2,000, then H1 is accepted, meaning that there is an effect of active learning strategy type index card match on social studies learning outcomes of class V SD N 6 Metro Utara.
