- Jurusan Ilmu Komputer Universitas Lampung memiliki suatu bagian administrasi. Salah satu fungsi administrasi ialah mengadakan pencatatan dan semua kegiatan manajemen salah satunya mengurus pencatatan surat-menyurat. Sistem kerja administrasi untuk mengurus pencatatan surat-menyurat pada jurusan masih dilakukan secara manual, yakni dengan cara ditulis dalam buku agenda dan disimpan ditempat penyimpanan surat. Dari cara tersebut pengurusan surat dapat dikatakan kurang efisien karena surat dan dokumen yang demikian banyak, menyebabkan terjadinya penumpukan di ruang penyimpanan yang terbatas. Penelitian ini membuat sebuah sistem informasi manajemen surat masuk elektronik Jurusan Ilmu Komputer Universitas Lampung berbasis web bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, ketepatan dalam hal memanajemen surat menyurat. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa sistem telah berhasil dibuat dengan baik. Kata Kunci : Sistem Informasi, Surat Masuk, Surat Keluar, Administrasi, Jurusan Ilmu Komputer ABSTRACT Computer science major of Lampung university has an administration section. One of its function is to take notes and all management activities, one of which is handling of taking correspondence. The work system on administrative to take notes is still manually by writing in a book then stored in a storage area. From the way the handling of the letter could be said that it is less efficient because there are so many notes and documents that caused buildup in storage. This study makes a web-based management information system of Computer Science Major’s Electronic mail of Lampung University to increase efficiency and accuracy of correspondent management.
