- Various efforts have been made to prevent mortality in Pasific White shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) culture caused by disease, one of which is by increasing shrimp immunity. Increasing shrimp immunity can be done with alginate supplementation which is abundant in brown algae. This study aims to determine the effect of Na-alginate supplementation from Padina sp. from the coast of Lampung on the haematological and histological profiles of the Pasific White shrimp hepatopancreas. This study consisted of 3 treatments, namely control feeding (A), feeding with the addition of Na-alginate 2 g / kg of feed (B) and feeding with the addition of Na-alginate 4 g / kg of feed (C). each treatment was repeated 3 times. The study was conducted for 14 days. Shrimp hematology test parameters include total hemocytes, phagocytosis activity, phagocytosis index and total plasma protein was measured at day 0, 7 and 14 days treatment. The histological profile of the hepatopancreas was observed at the end of the treatment. Water quality including dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature and salinity are maintained at optimal conditions for vannamei shrimp. The results showed that the supplementation of Na-alginate could increase THC by 11.49 ± 1.94 x 106 cells / ml, the activity and index phagocytosis reached 81.8 ± 0.96% and 2.00 ± 0.12. The increase in shrimp hematology occurred on the 14th day after treatment. The histological profile showed no major damage to the hepatopancreas of shrimp supplemented with Na-alginate Padina sp. both at a dose of 2 g / kg of feed and 4 g / kg of feed. The water quality of the maintenance media during the study was in the normal range, namely temperature 25.3-27.0°C, DO 4.6-5.8 ppm, pH 7,6-7,8. However the salinity was achieved salinity 36-38 ppt in all shrimp treatment and control group. This condition was a bit higher that optimum salinity for white shrimp. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan untuk mencegah kematian pada budidaya udang vanname (Litopenaeus vannamei) yang disebabkan oleh penyakit, salah satunya adalah dengan cara meningkatkan imunitas udang. Peningkatan imunitas udang dapat dilakukan dengan suplementasi alginat yang banyak terdapat pada alga cokelat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi Naalginat Padina sp. dari Pesisir Lampung terhadap profil hematologi dan histologi hepatopankreas udang vannamei. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 perlakuan yaitu pemberian pakan kontrol (A), pemberian pakan dengan penambahan Na-alginat 2 g/kg pakan (B) dan pemberian pakan dengan penambahan Na-alginat 4 g/kg pakan (C). setiap perlakuan diulang 3 kali. Penelitian dilakukan selama 14 hari. Parameter uji hematologi udang meliputi total hemosit, aktifitas fagositosis, indeks fagositosis dan total protein plasma. Profil histologi hepatopankreas diamati diakhir perlakuan. Kualitas air meliputi oksigen terlarut, pH, suhu dan salinitas dijaga pada kondisi optimal untuk udang vannamei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan Na-alginat dapat meningkatkan THC sebesar 11.49 ± 1.94 x 10 6 sel/ml, aktivitas dan indeks fagositosis mencapai 81.8 ± 0.96 % dan 2.00 ± 0.12. peningkatan hematologi udang terjadi pada hari ke-14 setelah perlakuan. Profil histologi menunjukkan tidak ada kerusakan mayor pada hepatopankreas udang yang diberi suplementasi Na-alginat Padina sp. baik pada dosis 2 g/kg pakan maupun 4 g/kg pakan. Kualitas air media pemeliharaan selama penelitian berada pada kisaran normal yaitu suhu 25,3-27°C, DO 4,6-5,8 ppm, pH 7,6-7,8. Salinitas dicapai 36-38 ppt disemua perlakuan, kondisi ini sedikit lebih tinggi dari nilai optimal untuk udang vannamei.
