- The purposes of this study were to determine the implementation of the Upsus Pajale program, the roles of field agricultural instructors in the program, the participation of farmers in the Upsus Pajale Program, the relationship between the roles of field agricultural instructors and the participation of farmers in the program, and the relationship between the role of field agricultural extension workers and farmer participation on the success of the program. The determination of the research location was carried out deliberately in Natar District, South Lampung Regency. Respondents in this study were 51 farmers. The research was conducted in September-October 2019. The study used a survey method and data were analyzed descriptively and the Spearman Rank correlation test. The implementation of the Upsus Pajale program has been carried out well with an increase in rice productivity by 0.71 ton/ha and maize by 1.88 ton/ha. The role of field agricultural extension agents in the program is classified as high. Farmer participation in the program is classified as medium. There is a relationship between the role of field agricultural extension agents and farmer participation. There is a relationship between the role of field agricultural extension agents and farmer participation with the success of rice productivity, and there is no relationship between the role of field agricultural extension agents and farmer participation with the success of corn productivity. Key words: agriculture extension agents, farmer participation, Upsus Pajale program. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) pelaksanaan program Upsus Pajale, (2) peranan penyuluh pertanian lapangan dalam program Upsus Pajale, (3) partisipasi petani dalam Program Upsus Pajale, (4) hubungan peranan penyuluh pertanian lapangan dengan partisipasi petani dalam program Upsus Pajale, dan (5) hubungan peranan penyuluh pertanian lapangan dan partisipasi petani terhadap keberhasilan program Upsus Pajale. Penentuan lokasi penelitian ditentukan secara sengaja di Kecamatan Natar Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 51 petani yang ditentukan dengan metode acak sederhana. Penelitian dilakukan pada September-Oktober 2019. Penelitian menggunakan metode survei dan analisis deskriptif dan uji korelasi Rank Spearman. Pelaksanaan program Upsus Pajale telah dilaksanakan dengan baik dengan peningkatan produktivitas padi sebesar 0,71 Ton/Ha dan jagung sebesar 1,88 Ton/Ha. Peranan penyuluh pertanian lapangan dalam program Upsus Pajale termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Partisipasi petani dalam program Upsus Pajale termsuk dalam kategori sedang. Terdapat hubungan antara peranan penyuluh pertanian lapangan dengan partisipasi petani. Terdapat hubungan antara peranan penyuluh pertanian lapangan dan partisipasi petani dengan keberhasilan produktivitas padi, dan tidak terdapat hubungan antara peranan penyuluh pertanian lapangan dan partisipasi petani dengan keberhasilan produktivitas jagung.
