- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana Peran Kepala Pekon Dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Perangkat Pekon Di Wilayah Kecamatan Gadingrejo Kabupaten Pringsewu. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif, subjek penelitian ini adalah perangkat pekon yang ada di wilayah Kecamatan Gadingrejo yaitu perangkat pekon Wates Timur, perangkat pekon Wates Selatan, dan perangkat pekon Wates Induk yang secara keseluruhan berjumlah 26 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan angket dengan analisis data menggunakan rumus korelasi product moment, rumus interval, persentase, dan Chi kuadrat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: peran kepala pekon dalam meningkatkan kinerja perangkat pekon di wilayah Kecamatan Gadingrejo Kabupaten Pringsewu masih kurang baik. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan tugas dari kepala pekon sebagai pemimpin dan administrasi penyelenggara utama dalam aktivitas pemerintahan, pembangunan, dan kemasyarakatan maupun pembina ketentraman ataupun ketertiban di wilayah kekuasannya masih kurang maksimal. Kata kunci: kepala pekon, kinerja, perangkat pekon This study aims to see how the Role of Pekon Heads in Improving the Performance of Pekon Devices in the District of Gadingrejo District of Pringsewu Regency. This research uses quantitative descriptive, the subject of this research is the existing set of tools in the area of Gadingrejo Subdistrict, which are East Wates Pekon, South Wates Pekon, and Wates Main Pekon, totaling 26 people. Data collection techniques are using a questionnaire with data analysis using the product moment correlation formula, interval formula, percentage, and Chi squared. The results of this study indicate that: the role of the head of the Pekon in improving the performance of the Pekon equipment in the area of Gadingrejo District, Pringsewu Regency is still not good. This is evidenced by the task of the head of the Pekon as the leader and administration of the main organizer in government, development, and community activities as well as the builders of peace or order in the area of authority which is still less than optimal.
