- Telah dilakukan karakterisasi struktur fasa, fungsionalitas dan uji sifat fisis yaitu kadar air dan pengembangan tebal terhadap sampel paduan silika aspal dengan perbandingan 65:35 wt%, 70:30 wt% dan 75:25 wt%. Pembuatan paduan sampel menggunakan aspal dan silika yang disintesis dari sekam padi dengan metode sol-gel menggunakan NaOH 1.5% dan HNO3 10%. Pencampuran silika sekam padi dengan aspal menggunakan pelarut bensin dan dipanaskan menggunakan suhu 100oC sehingga membentuk serbuk kemudian dipelet untuk keperluan uji dan karakterisasi. Hasil karakterisasi XRD menunjukkan bahwa sampel memiliki struktur fasa silika amorf dan karbon amorf, intensitas menurun dan mengalami pergeseran 2θ seiring penambahan silika dan pengurangan aspal. Hasil karakterisasi FTIR menunjukkan adanya perubahan spektrum dimana penambahan aspal menyebabkan spektrum melebar dan nilai transmitansinya berkurang. Berdasarkan pengujian sifat fisis pada sampel seiring penambahan silika dan pengurangan aspal nilai kadar air semakin bertambah dan pengembangan tebal menjadi berkurang. Kata kunci : Aspal, FTIR, komposit, sekam padi, silika, XRD ABSTRACT Characterization of phase structure, functionality and testing of physical properties, namely moisture content and thickness development of asphalt silica alloy samples with a ratio of 65: 35 wt%, 70: 30 wt% and 75: 25 wt% has been carried out. Preparation of the sample alloy using asphalt and silica synthesized from rice husk by sol-gel method using 1.5% NaOH and 10% HNO3. Mixing silica rice husk with asphalt using gasoline as a solvent and heated using a temperature of 100oC so that it forms a powder then pellets for test and characterization purposes. The results of XRD characterization show that the sample has a phase structure of amorphous silica and amorphous carbon, the intensity decreases and undergoes a 2θ shift along with the addition of silica and reduction of asphalt. The results of FTIR characterization show a change in spectrum where the addition of asphalt causes the spectrum to widen and the transmittance value decreases. Based on testing the physical properties of the sample along with the addition of silica and reduction of asphalt, the moisture content value increases and thickness development decreases.
