- ABSTRAK Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar tematik peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 5 Metro Timur. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan perbedaan yang signifikan pada penerapan model discovery learning dengan media visual terhadap hasil belajar tematik peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini penelitian eksperimen menggunakan non-equivalen control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 5 Metro Timur. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji regresi linear sederhana dan uji statistik t-test sparated varians yang diawali dengan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji pengaruh dan uji beda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penggunaan model discovery learning dengan media visual terhadap hasil belajar tematik peserta didik, serta terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan peserta didik dengan katagori sedang. Kata kunci: discovery learning, hasil belajar tematik, media visual. ABSTRACT The problem in this study is the low thematic learning outcomes of students V grade in Elementary School 5 East Metro. The purpose of this study was to determine the significant effect and different on the application of discovery learning models with visual media on the thematic learning outcomes of students. This type of research is an experimental study using non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study is students in grade V of elementary school 5 east metro. The sample used is purposive sample. This study uses a test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions. Data analysis technique used is a simple linear regression test and statistical test t-test sparated variance which begins with the normality test and homogeneity test then proceed with test of the influence and test of the different. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence on the application of discovery learning models with visual media on the thematic learning outcomes of students, and there is an increase in the knowledge of students with moderate categories.
