  • Data on the presence of an employee in an agency or workplace is very important, one reason is that it can be an indicator of performance and to know the level of discipline of each employee. The same thing applies to lecturers or lecturers in tertiary institutions. Therefore, every lecturer always tries to never miss to fill in the attendance list as proof that on that day he has carried out his duties and obligations. Face Recognition technology can be applied to meet the needs of automated presence systems. The Face Recognition-based automatic presence system was built on Raspberry Pi (Version 3B) using the Python program language. The Face Recognition Program on the Raspberry Pi automatically does the recognition process when person’s face is detected by a camera mounted on the Raspberry Pi. A successful introduction will obtain data which is then sent to the database on the server. The server also contains a web server (Apache) that functions to publish attendance data in the website. Website created in program language HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and PHP (Personal Home Page) as server-side. Other than that there are supporting programming languages to manage the appearance of the website, that’s it CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and JavaScripts. The published website has two different access, first the person who does not have a user account so that access is limited, while the second is the person who has an encrypted user account so that he can access all the data in the website.
